snowflake embossed christmas card

Hi have been reading some of tim holtz christmas tags and love all of his ideas, heres my little take on the embossing folder, did not have a nice embossing folder so used my fiskars texture plate, now sometimes get a really good embossed look but other times not so good, any way coated the plate with embossing pad, ran it through the big shot quickly sprinkled with white sparkly embossing powder, rubbed some off the snowflakes and round the edges, heated it up, rubbed a little distress ink in to make the snowflakes stand out a bit more. Added a chocolate baroque stamp had for ages and some diecut snow flakes, but the bit I am most proud of is my pine cones I watched tims video on pine cones, I do not have this die but thought I would adapt a paper template downloaded from the internet for swirly roses, I made them from brown cordinations sanded a little and added white acrylic paint. love them hope you do to.
thanks for looking angxx
